Ok, So I was surfing you tube and I came up on all these gay rights videos. It got me thinking again, are we seriously still so primitive? Have we not learned that everyone should have rights? Straight people can get married for money or in a drunken stupor and divorce within the first year but gay people who share real love and want to spend their lives with their partner are still told no?

How ridiculous is that?

Ok, If you don't like it because of your religion. Look away? Don't stare? Go to a country that isn't all about free rights for everyone?
I'm sorry but why should I have to suffer just because some jerks don't believe in the constitution. We all have the right to pursue happiness. Yeah, you can give us civil unions but it's not the same. The word marriage has a certain weight to it, it holds more validity then civil union.
Now I have never been a religious person but I respect those who are. Why can't you just let us be happy? We aren't doing anything a straight couple doesn't do. Ok, we don't procreate. So? The world has an over population problem anyway. The fact that we don't cram it full of more people is a good thing! Too many STRAIGHT teens are having babies before they are ready. Why can't we give them a home? A good home with caring parents who will love and adore them.

I went through a lot growing up. I've been made fun of for how I looked, the way I dressed, the way I acted, the things I was into, but the ones that hurt most is being made fun of for loving. Being beaten up and ridiculed because you found someone to love is a horrible experience.

It hurts even more to have so much hope for future and to see the person you love most in the world cry as that future is ripped away. The day prop 8 banned gay marriage I was not sad. No, the only thing in my heart was pure hatred. I had never been so angry... so full of malice for the ignorant, self centered, jerks in this country. That day was full of so much pain and sadness.


Ok. Away from the anger.

I don't see why it's not accepted. It was accepted to a lesser degree in Greece and Rome. Did we really revert? Well, it was accepted until the BARBARIANS attacked and conquored the area, bringing in the dark ages. Hmm, coincidence? I think not.

It's funny. This country was founded on tolerance and rights. But, even in the beginning that wasn't enforced. People where thrown out of towns for their religion, in a country that was founded on religious freedom. Ha. It's all just ridiculous.. I just don't get it.
